Extra Flex Convoluted PTFE Tubing • 81914/2
Extra Flex Convoluted PTFE Tubing or Close Convolution is manufactured by adding more convolutions per inch and adjusting the pitch of the convolutions in order to obtain a tighter bend radius. Extra Flex Convo products will give you a bend diameter almost as great as that of corrugated material.
PTFE Tubing will operate in applications where high temperatures are required and other materials are not suitable. Both PTFE and FEP are FDA approved materials and can be used in food and medical industry.
Convoluted PTFE Tubing is a high temperature material that has a non-stick surface, allowing easy cleaning. Convo PTFE Tubing is excellent as an electrical or fluid conduit in harsh environments because of its resistance to most corrosive liquids including acids. However PTFE Tubing is not recomended for applications that require or will use Gamma Sterilization.
